Summary: |
The key objective of Project 2.1.8 is to assess the contribution of power station particulate emissions to levels of airborne particulate matter (APM). APM is emerging as a key issue worldwide due to numerous studies linking levels of fine airborne matter with adverse health outcomes. In Australia, while the NPI indicates that power stations are significant anthropogenic sources of fine particulate matter, there is little or no data on how significant their contribution is to APM. This factsheet provides a review of techniqes and guidelines for sampling adjacent to power stations. |
