ESE Assessment

Project 1.2 - Sustainability Dimensions And Impacts

Project Description
This project aims to deliver the rationale and assessment tools for determining the contribution of coal chain industries to a sustainable Australia.

This work is of general theoretical significance, and will bring to bear current ‘cutting edge’ research in both ecological and economic systems to contribute distinctively to the development of understanding the bases for sustainability. And in recognition of the specific task of the CCSD, it will focus on Australia in particular, and on the uses of coal in particular, when constructing and evaluating future energy options.
